2010 Volunteer Training Dates

Do you want to volunteer to work with women and/or children? How about in North Lake Tahoe's only Safe House? If so you will need to take our 68-hour Crisis Intervention Training which will be held April 13 through June 3 for only $50** ($25 refundable after volunteering three months). This training is offered twice per year, once in the spring and again in the fall. We ask that you be able to attend every session; the first six sessions are mandatory and if you are unable to attend we ask that you wait to take the next training. Topics covered during the training include: the basics of domestic violence and sexual assault, cultural diversity, substance abuse, legal issues of domestic violence and sexual abuse, date rape, child abuse, suicide, peer counseling and crisis intervention techniques. **TWS wants this training to be accessible to everyone. If $50 is too much please just let Hayley know and we will be glad to offer another option.

2009 Continuing Education Training Dates
